About Us
Toddle Inn was established in 2000, located in Castlejane Woods, Glanmire. We began as a small home-based Montessori preschool that offered sessional care to 8 children, we soon moved to a large purpose-built facility where we have 3 bright, spacious classrooms and a large, exciting outdoor play area.
We opened our Naíonra class in 2015 and were delighted to be invited to relocate our Naionra to Gaelscoil Ui Drisceoil in 2021. We now have two Naíonra classes and provide onsite afterschool care for the children attending Gaelscoil Ui Drisceoil.
We are recently opened our brand new state-of-the-art
service Toddle Inn Childcare which offers full-time care and sessional care to
children aged between 12 months and 6 years. This service is located in Harpers Creek, Glounthaune.
At Toddle Inn we strive to provide quality care and education in a safe and friendly environment. We protect and encourage children, focusing on and reinforcing positive behaviour. We encourage independence and self-esteem through a curriculum that is child-focused and designed to assist children in valuing themselves through play, learning, and positive social interactions with others.
We value and work closely with parents so that they may actively contribute to and reinforce their child’s growth and development. Working together to provide for the best outcomes for the children in our care.

Toddle Inn Childcare is an Early Years service that will provide children with the highest quality childcare in a safe, loving and accepting environment. At Naíonra Toddle Inn we provide sessional preschool care for children between the ages of 2.5 -5 years, through the medium of Irish, We follow the school
calendar for Gaelscoil uí Drisceoil. We believe in maintaining very high staff: child ratios so that we can deliver a personal experience for each child in our care.
We offer sessional preschool care. All staff are highly qualified and experienced in delivering the naíonra curriculum.
We work on a ‘child-led’ and Montessori approach to our curriculum in order to provide children with quality care and encourages children to be active in their own learning.

At Toddle Inn Montessori we provide sessional preschool care to children using the Montessori and play-based curriculum approach.
Our building is bright and spacious with a large outdoor area, which includes a roofed outdoor classroom, each class spends time outside daily.
We believe children learn through the promotion and supporting of their own play as well as through varied activities planned by early years professionals.
Our curriculum has been developed to be inclusive of all children, families and to promote the learning and development of each child in their own individual pace.
Frequently Asked Questions
How will I get feedback on my child’s day.
All parents are given daily feedback on their child’s day at creche using an app called TeachKloud, we will share with you what your child has eaten, how much they have slept, and what activities they engaged in.
Teachkloud will also be used to communicate with parents from the sessional preschool to give weekly class updates and progress reports.
The app allows for private communication between parents and staff.
Will my child get a settling in period.
At Toddle Inn we work together with parents over a settling-in period of a
few days for day care children to ensure that your child is happy and comfortable in their new surroundings.
In our experience, it takes roughly between 3-5 days to settle a child fully but every child is different so we will work with you to make this as smooth as possible for both you and your child.
Preschool children will be invited to attend a meet and greet when they get to meet their new teacher and spend some time in their new class before they commence the new school year.
Are all staff qualified in early years care and education?
All Toddle Inn staff are qualified to a minimum of Fetac level 5 and many are level 6 and above.
Are all staff Garda vetted and are they first aid trained?
All staff are Garda Vetted and written references are always checked and validated before any new staff member starts works at Toddle Inn.
Every service has a number of staff trained as First Aid Responders so we are equipped to respond correctly to any situation.
How often will my child go outside to play?
We believe that outdoor play is essential to children’s overall development. All our services have fully equipped outdoor play areas with a range of activities to keen children engaged and weather safety
surfaces.
What happens if my child is ill while attending the service?
If your child becomes unwell or develops a temperature while attending Toddle Inn, we will call you and request that you either pick up your child or we will administer medication if parental permission has been given.
We will then complete regular observations, take your child’s temperature, and will ensure that your child has plenty of fluids.
